Tuesday, February 27th 2001 Polyamorous NYC's Announcement list exceeds 1,000 subscriptions. Polyamorous NYC has been steadily growing for more than 5 years. This week subscriptions to the organization's primary email list reached a new milestone. There are now more 1,000 people signed up to receive news from Polyamorous NYC regarding the Polyamory Community of New York City. The subscription rate for January '06 alone saw more than 40 new members. On average that's at least one new subscription per day. "The visibility of the Poly Community is rising dramatically and has been for awhile. Last year Polyamory was featured on the Montel show, the 700 Club, The New York Times and the New York Post just to name a few", says Justen M. Bennett-Maccubbin, Polyamorous NYC's founder. "This combined with a sustained presence at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, and new organizational leadership is creating a cumulative increase in participation for the Poly community across the board." Polyamorous NYC's Announcement list is a yahoo group list located at Polyamorous_NYC_A@yahoogroups.com. It has been created to keep members up-to-date on major events or issues affecting the Poly Community of New York City and when meetings are scheduled. Polyamorous NYC is a social discussion group designed to encourage the growth of the Polyamorous community and culture of New York City. We welcome all members regardless of gender or sexual orientation, while giving focused attention to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender communities. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8 pm at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, located at 208 W. 13th Street.
