Polyamorous NYC celebrates 1 year Anniversary
On Thursday, June 28th 2001, Polyamorous NYC will be 1 year old. The group started big and is going strong.
"In our first year, Polyamorous NYC held 12 monthly meetings, 2 dance parties, a night at a Broadway show, was the first Poly group to march in the New York City Gay Pride Parade, and we have plans for our very own Poly Pride Day in September," says Justen Michael, group founder. "This is just the beginning. Next year we will do even more."
In addition to the discussion, members at the last meeting ate cupcakes with birthday candles and sang 2 versions of Happy Birthday. The first version was traditional. The second was more soulful and energetic.
Polyamorous NYC is a social group in New York City for people who have interest in long-term, romantically committed, multiple partner relationships. The group has a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered focus. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m. at the Lesbian & Gay Community Center. If you have any questions about Polyamory or Polyamorous NYC, please contact Justen Michael at 212.568.9102 or via email at justen@poly-nyc.com.
