Polyamory Group meets for the 1st time at the Lesbian & Gay Community Center: Draws Unexpectedly Overwhelming Crowd
An overflow crowd was the scene at the Lesbian & Gay Community Center of New York last night for the first meeting of Polyamorous NYC.
"
I really had no idea how many people were going to show last night. It was conceivable that it would only be 6 or so, I was hoping for 2 or 3 dozen. The room was only designed to hold about 40 people, so I was blown away when 58 people showed," says Justen Michael, the coordinator of the group.
There was also a very good mix of people. "Gender parity is very important here and we achieved that," said Michael. "There were people from many different backgrounds, but all were interested in some form of multiple partner relationship."
Polyamorous NYC is a social group in New York City designed to bring together people who have an interest in long-term, romantically committed, multiple partner relationships.
Polyamorous NYC has a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered focus, but also welcomes heterosexual members. Future meetings will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8 pm at the Lesbian & Gay Community Center.
