Tuesday, September 12, 2000 Polyamory Egroup List Subscriptions Double in 2 Months: NYC Poly Community Growing Shortly before the first meeting of Polyamorous NYC on Wednesday, June 28th 2000, the NYC-GLBT-Poly list had a membership of 51 people. Since that time, the list has now climbed to over 100 members. "I believe this is an indication that the Polyamorous community of New York City is on the rise," says Justen Michael, founder of Polyamorous NYC. "We will only grow from here!" Polyamorous NYC is a social group in New York City designed to bring together people who have an interest in long-term, romantically committed, multiple partner relationships. nyc-glbt-poly@egroups.com is an email discussion group. It focuses on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Polyamory in New York City & was started in the Summer of 1999. Polyamorous NYC also uses this list as means of notification to its members for upcoming events. Polyamorous NYC has a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered focus as well, but welcomes supportive heterosexual members. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8 pm at the Lesbian & Gay Community Center.
